Large well respected food company has an immediate opening at their plant in Monterrey, TN for a 2nd Shift Associate Relations Representative.  This position offers huge growth potential to individuals who are willing to relocate regionally in the future.  Next step in the career path is Human Resources Manager.
Specific responsibilities of this position include.
  1. Facilitate conflict resolution – especially between hourly employees and supervisors. Ensure consistent policy application in the resolution of issues addressed. Provide training to supervisory personnel on applicable policies and procedures.
  2. Manage the new hire training program to ensure newly hired associates receive an effective, timely and informative new hire orientation. Schedule and conduct new hire training.  Audit the program to identify methods of improvement and facilitate implementation of improvements.
  3. Provide coaching and counseling to supervisory personnel to improve the supervisors’ ability to effectively direct their workforce.
  4. Manage the Peer Review / Management Review process.
  5. Identify, design, and implement new methods to reduce turnover.
 
Requirements for this position include a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Relations or related plus at least 5 years of applicable experience.  Must have strong interpersonal and presentation skills.  Specific requirements include:
  • Previous experience in working with production employees in a manufacturing environment, food production is a plus
  • Experience with facilitating conflict resolution
  • Proven success in writing, updating and auditing Affirmative Action Plans, thorough knowledge of I-9 requirements, experience in handling ADA, EEOC, DOL, OFCCP.
  • Experience with HRIS
  • Experience with automated timekeeping, Kronos preferred
  • Experience in conducting orientation of new employees.
  • Commitment to team performance, effective coaching and demonstrated skills or a strong team player
  • Must possess complete proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility. Willing and available to work varied and/or extended shifts as needed.
  • Mobility. Open to future relocation.
  • Some travel is required.
